Our Actions for Climate Justice

The Youth Quake group in Meath has implemented practices within Youth Work Ireland Meath to align with the SDG’s. These include more recycling bins in the youth centre as well as planting native wildflower seeds around the building to encourage and support our endangered bees and butterfly species. They have helped with the clean-up of the Boyne canal and restoration of the locks which will lead to a new Blueway being developed between Navan and Drogheda.

They have also developed workshops that they deliver to younger group members and currently are working on a set of SDG cards with QR codes which link to a dedicated page on the Youth Work Ireland Meath website. These packs will be delivered through workshops in Post Primary schools when restrictions are eased.
