This group picks a number of ‘green’ projects throughout the year. The last one focused on a cigarette survey and public bins for the butts.

The Young Decision Makers group  have participated in both the tidy towns initiatives and a youth exchange project focusing on human impacts on the environment.

Ossory Youth


The Lights!Climate!Action! group was formed in the summer of 2019 and among its activities it, took the lead in organising the climate marches in Kilkenny.

Youth Work Ireland Meath


The Youth Quake group in Meath has implemented practices within Youth Work Ireland Meath to align with the SDG’s.



During 2020, 32 young people from the North, South, East and West of the continent gathered at Woodstown Residential and Activity Centre in Co.

Clare Youth Service


The group in Clare focuses on raising awareness of environmental and climate issues with young people through discussion and social media campaigns. 

Donegal Youth Service


Donegal Youth Service’s  Our Blue Planet  environment group was set up in 2018 and since then has taken part in a number of climate action initiatives . The group meet regularly



The youth group in KDYS has created a bio-diversity space to educate other young people about climate change , environmental issues and climate action.

Youth Work Ireland Longford was established in 1997 and offers a variety of services and supports to young people in the county.

Youth Work Ireland Cavan Monaghan


The ECO Crew have done lots of local environmental actions including local litter picks where they joined forces with the Tidy Towns Committee to clean up, and creating a poster to raise awareness.

Last year young people from the EYE and YoYo projects in Mullingar developed a vegetable and herb garden area on raised beds using natural and organic methods to develop the soil and the plants.

The Splatter Art Group Camps in Laois focused on creating art pieces using recyclable and reusable materials. The group also took part in  the Electric Picnic Festival
